Is your child suffering from symptoms of constipation? Children who are constipated may complain of abdominal discomfort or pain, have infrequent bowel movements, and when their bowels do move, it might be hard or painful.

Two clinical research studies are currently underway evaluating the investigational use in children of a study drug that has already been approved by the FDA to treat adults with symptoms of chronic idiopathic constipation.

The Marco Clinical Research Study is for children ages 6 – 17 who have Functional Constipation (FC). The Polo Clinical Research Study is for children ages 7 – 17 who suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation or IBS-C.
